Wajida Leclerc
Chief People and Culture Officer
Wajida Leclerc joined our credit union as Chief People and Culture Officer in November 2022 and brings experience from the global telecom, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and entertainment industries having worked in Canada, Europe and Asia. She comes with extensive experience in leading companies through transformation and rapid growth with more than 25 years of work in human resources-related positions.
Wajida holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Business as well as her Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, and a certificate in Organizational Leadership from the London School of Economics. Wajida Leclerc has dedicated some of her spare time to supporting the Mosaic organization, whose work focused on helping immigrants and refugees settle in Canada. As well as she mentors HR professionals pursuing their CHRP designation.
At Gulf & Fraser, Wajida is responsible for mentoring staff, engaging employees and leading people through change and innovation. Drawing on her background in systems integration, she is leading improvements to the credit union’s human resources information system. She works closely with other leaders at Gulf & Fraser, driving a shared vision following merger and cultural integration initiatives, for a cohesive organizational culture that supports the credit union’s growth. In addition, she leads Gulf & Fraser’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives.
Wajida believes that by encouraging people to be their better selves to contribute to the organization’s goals and by aligning culture and strategy, we can strengthen our credit union and ultimately enhance services for our members.
